What is Coss

COSS (Crypto-One-Stop-Solution) is a crypto currency exchange platform and (future) a merchant payment gateway.

The COSS token is a revenue-generating cryptocurrency, providing holders a weekly payouts in all cryptocurrencies traded on the COSS platform.

Update: 2019-04-23 Coss changed to daily payments and announced a merger with Arex. This will also include a Coss token swap. More news follow in May.

Payments before April 25th 2019 are not displayed here. After the platform update in December previous payment information was not available anymore on the COSS website. And after the switch to daily payments in April 2019 I dropped the weekly payments because they mess up with the yield calculations. Also because of the daily payment I might miss one sometimes, because there is still no history info available and I have to do it all manual. Avg weekly payment in Q1 2019 was $0.00016133 per Coss token, a 15.29% yield with the current price $0.05488480 at 2019-04-25

COSS Payout Structure

All fees generated on the COSS.IO exchange and through its payment gateway will go into a 50/50 split with COSS Token holders on a daily basis.

The standard Coss exchange trading fee is maker 0.14%, taker 0.2% and will gradually declines to as low as 0.04 as trading volume increases over time. If you hold CFT tokens and fee reduction enabled you get a 25% fee reduction (maker 0.105%, taker 0.15%)

The COSS merchant platform and payment gateway operates on a 0.75% fee derived from each transaction.

The minimum amount of COSS Tokens entitled to Fee Split Allocation is 1 COSS. Please note that there is a limitation of 20 decimal points for Fee Spilt. If the allocation count is beyond 20 decimal points for 1 COSS token, the allocation will not happen.

Payouts happen in all cryptocurrencies traded on the COSS platform, but since December 2018 all non erc tokens are converted to ether.

Lifetime is from April 2019, Coss is running longer, but after the update in december all historical payment information was gone from their website and I did not saved them before. I decided also to remove the weekly payments from Q1 2019 because they mess up with the yield calculations.Daily volume source is CMC and might not be off from the actual volume due to timing of my snapshots and or accuracy of CMC. Over time the CMC numbers seems to corresponds with a avg 0.1% trading fee.
Coss Yields
Dividend yields are the ratio between annual payment(s) and price.

Indicated Annual Yield last dividend ($0.000000 per COS)
The indicated annual yield is the ratio between annual dividend and token price.
((last div * annual payments) / price) x 100%
Indicated yield with dividend day price ($0.01):1.162986%
Indicated yield with current price ($0.01): 0.676049%
Indicated yield with ico price ($0.06): 0.123503%
Average Annual Yield ($0.000004 per COS)
The average annual yield is the ratio between the dividend average of last 12 months and token price.
((avg dividend * annual payments) / token price) x 100%
Average yield with dividend day price ($0.01): 23.317532%
Average yield with current price ($0.01): 13.554577%
Average yield with ico price ($0.06): 2.476198%
Average Yield overall ($0.000004 per COS)
The average yield is the ratio between the all time dividend average and token price.
((avg dividend * annual payments) / token price) x 100%
Average yield with dividend day price ($0.01): 23.317532%
Average yield with current price ($0.01): 13.554577%
Average yield with ico price ($0.06): 2.476198%

What does a 0.68% yield mean? Simple you need 100 / 0.68 = 147 years and 1 months with the same dividend to earn your investement back if you buy the tokens now with current price. The higher the yield the faster you earn back your investement.

Would you have done better investing in the big crypto coins instead of buying Coss?

My view on Coss

2019-02-01 The fact that you receive trading fees dividend in all tokens is as well appealing as annoying. On one hand you build up a nice diverse portfolio, but you need an awful lot of COSS tokens to make any sense. I hope Coss will switch convert all to either Ether or COSS. They already did with all the non erc-20 tokens in December 2018.

That dust also give you another disadvantage. To get your rewards you have to “Distribute” them at a cost of 0.001 eth. That does not sound much with current ether prices but Is still 0.054 ETH to get all your rewards. You need around 100 COSS tokens just to break even in a year.

Nevertheless is COSS producing higher yield than its opponents like Bankera or KuCoin but it only makes sense if you hold at least 50,000 tokens. But if Coss will grow as big as the major exchanges at the moment, even a crappy exchange like HitBTC does 100 times more volume!! It could be a very good future investment. At moment of writing Coss is listed as 87 on the CMC exchange list.

Upcoming Coss Payment

Daily around 08:00 CET

To get dividend you need to hold your COSS tokens on the COSS platform and everything goes automatic.

If you hold COSS during snapshot in any erc_20 supported Ethereum Wallet like MyEtherWallet, Nano Ledger S, Trezor or any other you will receive your pay out automatically on the COSS platform, after you have assigned you wallet to your COSS platform account. See here how to do that.
